In this course, you will learn how to efficiently use AWS security services for optimal security and compliancy in the AWS cloud.

This course focuses on the AWS-recommended best practices that you can implement to enhance the security of your data and systems in the cloud. The course highlights the security features of AWS key services including compute, storage, networking, and database services. This course also refers to the common security control objectives and regulatory compliance standards. Additionally, you will examine use cases for running regulated workloads on AWS across different verticals, globally. You will also learn how to leverage AWS services and tools for automation and continuous monitoring-taking your security operations to the next level.

You will learn to:
• Understanding AWS security services such as AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Key Management Service (KMS), and AWS CloudTrail.
• Designing and implementing secure architectures using best practices for cloud security, including network security, encryption, and access control.
• Detecting threats and responding to security incidents using services like Amazon GuardDuty, AWS Security Hub, and AWS WAF.
• Implementing and managing compliance requirements, including data protection laws and regulations, using AWS services.
• Mastering advanced IAM practices, including fine-grained access control, federated identities, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Before attending this course, you should have: • 3–5 years of experience in designing and implementing security solutions • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in securing AWS workloads

Exam overview: Exam duration: 170 minutes Exam format: 65 questions; either multiple choice or multiple response Test in-person or online Pearson VUE testing center or online proctored exam
